Sync your files with Dropbox

I have been using Dropbox for quite a while and can thoroughly recommend it. These days you need your data to be truly portable, with Dropbox you can store and sync your files from the cloud. If you are running a business or wanting to share files with friends Dropbox makes it very easy.

After signing up with Dropbox you get over 2 gigs of free storage and if you add others to Dropbox this can increase to 8 gigs. They also have a pay for option which increases your storage to 50 gigs. If you have an android or Iphone you can download the Dropbox app and have real data portability. I have included some useful articles showing you how to use and get the best out of Dropbox as well as a small video. Let me know how you use Dropbox.

Dropbox has announced the release of version 1.0 after many release candidate versions. Dropbox is almost a must for tech-savvy educators who wish to have their files available to them no matter where they are working. In fact Dropbox is so powerful for educators, I wrote “The Complete Dropbox for Educators” some time back and it has proved very helpful to a lot of people.

Dropbox has just been upgraded to version 1.0, so we thought we’d take a look at some great ways to use it that might not have occurred to you. A free Dropbox account allows users to store up to 2GB worth of files and access them from any other Linux, Mac or Windowsmachine running the Dropbox application. Or, those files can be accessed from any browser. In fact, the new 1.0 version of Dropbox is so tremendously useful, I decided to invest the $9.99 per month to increase its capacity to 50GB.
